The Southern Schoolhouse Rascals evolve from a combination of Gill Sayre's compelling West Virginia musical herritage, Dave Howard's stout string band background, Pat Plankey's solid bass planing and vocal harmonites, Ambrose Verdibello's vast exploration of fiddle tune repertoire and Ray Alden's thirthy-year involvement with North Carolina's Round Peak region.
