Tunesmith and fiddler Mark Simos has been contributing tunes to the old-time music repertoire for a number of years. This CD -- Clifftop Notes Vol. 1 -- is the first volume of tunes composed by Mark at the Appalachian String Band Music Festival (Clifftop).

Mark is joined on this CD by the other members of the Cliffhangers (Mark Simos, Brendan Doyle, Jody Platt, Rusty Neithammer, Karen Falkowski) as well as Maxine Gerber, Rich Hartness, Tolly Tollefson and Edwin Wilson.
